The Arizona State University track and field team opened the 2013 ASU Invitational with a dominating sweep of the hammer throw events on Friday, capped by a school record-setting performance from Chelsea Cassulo at Sun Angel Stadium in Tempe, Ariz.

Cassulo launched her second throw of the day 69.80m (229-00) for the longest throw in Arizona State history for the currently eighth-ranked women.  The mark surpassed the former school record previously held by Jessica Pressley of 68.31m (224-01) set back in 2008
